Elira Edit · Fit and Style
There is a particular kind of ease that comes with wearing something that genuinely fits. No adjusting, no second guessing, no being pulled out of the moment by a strap that will not stay or a bottom that creeps. Just you, the water, and the quiet pleasure of feeling at home in your own skin.
Finding that piece is less about luck than most of us have been led to believe. It comes down to understanding your shape, knowing what good construction looks and feels like, and choosing styles that were built with intention rather than with a sample size in mind.
That is what The Muse Collection was made for. Four styles. Three colorways. Each one designed to stay all day, hold its shape in saltwater, and feel as good on the last day of a holiday as on the first.
The Fit Test
Before color, before style, before anything else, comes fit. These are the things to check when a new piece arrives.
The Top
- The seam should lie flush against your chest without gapping at the top or cutting in underneath
- Straps should rest on your shoulders without digging in or slipping off. If they are cutting in, the cup is likely too small
- You should be able to take a full breath and raise your arms without the top shifting
- There should be no overflow at the center or pulling at the sides. Both mean the cup size needs adjusting, not the body
The Bottom
- The waistband should sit smoothly at your hip or waist without folding over or rolling down
- No bunching at the back. Excess fabric there means the size is too large
- The leg openings should feel comfortable and leave no marks after ten minutes of wear
- When you sit or bend, nothing should gap significantly away from the body
If you are between sizes or shopping for the first time, our size guide walks you through measurements clearly.
Finding Your Shape
Every body is different and these suggestions are gentle ones, not rules. But knowing which styles tend to work for different proportions can take a lot of the guesswork out of choosing.
| Body Shape | What Works | What to Skip | The Elira Pick |
|---|---|---|---|
| Hourglass | Triangle and halter tops, side tie bottoms, adjustable ties | Boxy cuts that conceal the waist | The Arabelle in Wild Rosebud. The tie detail frames the waist exactly where it should be. |
| Pear | Statement or textured tops, deeper solid bottoms | Thin strap tops with minimal detail, bold prints on the bottom | Elyse top in Wild Rosebud with the Elyse bottom in Dark Cherry for a grounding contrast. |
| Athletic | Padded or structured tops, prints, high cut legs | Plain minimalist sets with no structural detail | Arabelle top in White Apricot paired with Elyse bottom in Wild Rosebud. |
| Apple | High waisted bottoms, V neck or halter tops, ruched fabric | Low rise cuts that sit below the curve of the hip | The Elyse bottom in Dark Cherry with either Elyse or Arabelle top. |
| Rectangle | Colour blocked pairings, ruffles, bold prints | Head to toe plain sets with no contrast or detail | Elyse top in Dark Cherry with the Arabelle bottom in White Apricot. |
Think of this as a starting point rather than a prescription. The most flattering thing you can wear is always the thing that makes you feel most yourself.
Hourglass
If your bust and hips are roughly equal and your waist is naturally defined, the goal is to let the shape speak rather than conceal it. Adjustable ties, fitted cups, and side tie bottoms all do this beautifully.

The Arabelle top in Wild Rosebud was made for this silhouette. The adjustable ties let you control exactly how the top frames the bust, and the Arabelle bottom in Wild Rosebud mirrors that side tie detail at the hip, drawing the eye directly to the narrowest point of the waist.
Pear
Pear shapes carry more volume through the hips and thighs than through the shoulders. The styling principle is a simple one: add visual interest upward and keep the bottom grounded.

The Elyse top in Wild Rosebud draws the eye to the décolletage with its soft floral print. Pair it with the Elyse bottom in Wild Rosebud for a look that elongates the legs.
Athletic
Athletic and rectangular shapes are wonderfully versatile because almost everything works. The styling opportunity here is to add softness and the impression of curves through structure, contrast, and detail rather than the body doing that work alone.

The Arabelle top in White Apricot has a structured cup that adds shape to the bust, while the Daphne bottom in White Apricot introduces a slightly higher cut at the leg.
Apple
Apple shapes tend to carry volume in the midsection with a fuller bust and slimmer legs. The most flattering swimwear for this shape works in two directions at once: defining the waist and drawing attention toward the bust and the legs.

The Elyse bottom in Dark Cherry sits higher on the body than a low rise cut, smoothing the midsection and creating the impression of a defined waist with no discomfort. Pair it with the Elyse top in Dark Cherry for a sleek monochrome that elongates, or mix in the Arabelle top in Wild Rosebud for a neckline that lifts the eye upward.
Rectangle
Rectangle shapes can wear almost anything, and that is genuinely true rather than a consolation. If you want to create the impression of curves, color contrast and print are the most effective tools at your disposal.

The Elyse top in Dark Cherry paired with the Ivana bottom in Dark Cherry creates definition at the waist. The thick tie side straps draw attention outward and breaks the silhouette in exactly the right place.
The Four Styles
The Muse Collection is built around four styles, each with its own character. Understanding what makes them different helps you find the one that was made for you.
The Daphne

The Daphne The Daphne does not try very hard, and that is exactly the point. Easy to wear, easy to forget you are wearing it.
Available as a top and bottom in Wild Rosebud and White Apricot.
The Arabelle

The Arabelle is romantic and fluid. A bralette style top with adjustable straps that let you customize coverage and fit to your body rather than adapting your body to the suit. The bottom has a delicate side tie that makes it particularly forgiving if you are between sizes.
Available as a top and bottom in Wild Rosebud and White Apricot.
The Elyse

The Elyse has a more structured silhouette. The cup has gentle boning that gives shape without padding, and the bottom sits at a mid rise that flatters a wide range of proportions. It is the piece you reach for when you want to feel put together without having tried.
Available as a top and bottom in Wild Rosebud and Dark Cherry.
The Ivana

The Ivana is sleek and confident. A clean, minimal silhouette with considered proportions that feel modern without being cold. The piece that photographs beautifully and feels just as good in person.
Available as a top and bottom in Wild Rosebud and Dark Cherry.
The Three Colourways
Four styles, three colourways. Wild Rosebud runs across all four. Dark Cherry is exclusive to the Elyse and Ivana. White Apricot to the Daphne and Arabelle. Each colourway has its own character — here is how to read them.
Wild Rosebud

A soft hand painted floral in blush, rose, and green on a warm ivory base. Feminine without being sweet, and particularly beautiful against warm and tanned skin tones. Shop Wild Rosebud.
